Overview of the project

Unisource is a free digital hub that connects businesses with university students as a SaaS platform (Software as a Service). Impressed by our previous work with start-up businesses in Surrey, founders, Andy and Niall Donnelly approached us to manage the website design.

We joined the project in the start-up phase. Unisource allows students to use the skills and knowledge developed on their degree courses in a commercial environment and earn money in doing so. At the same time, it’s hugely valuable to small and medium-sized businesses, by providing fresh talent to work on short-term tasks.

The project involved full system design for desktop and mobile, brand management and full website content creation. We completed brand management, with the addition of brand assets, such as graphics, colour palette and a font library. And we also conducted development testing and management.

“Having had several bad experiences with web design agencies we approached Preface Studios. They have provided a superb service. They take time to understand the business concept and share their thoughts. Based on their experience this was tremendously helpful.  The level of customer service from the entire team is faultless, providing timely feedback and updates and most importantly solutions when challenges arose. Anyone looking for a web design service should look no further than Preface Studios. We will certainly use them again and would be happy to act as a reference for them.”

Results

Since the initial soft launch, we’ve set-up social media channels and implemented PPC advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. We’ve also created promotional campaigns with Surrey Chambers of Commerce and the University of Surrey’s student union to spread the word.

Andy and Niall opted for integrated SharpSpring marketing automation to manage workflows, contact lists, schedule social media posts and manage email campaigns.
