First port of call for media, engineering and IT recruitment, Premier Group has offices in Reading, Manchester and London. In only seven years of trading it has expanded its operations significantly and earned a place in the Sunday Times Top 10 Best Small Companies to work for.
Recruitment companies need to attract employers and candidates alike, and in a highly competitive market, the right branding and messaging is crucial to business success. Premier Group’s original brand identity had been developed on an ad hoc basis and was inconsistently implemented across the offices, diluting impact and confusing the customer. The branding was dated and needed some added pizzazz!
To give Premier Group brand consistency, but allowing differentiation between its target areas of operations, we designed four different logos that had unifying features.
We made sure that the brand identity was suitable for all marketing collateral – and, boy, Premier Group’s was comprehensive: stationery, email signatures, coasters, mugs, vertical market sheets, invoices, USB sticks, umbrellas, mouse mats, magazine adverts, fact sheets, case studies and the website.
When the brand initially launched, we used the old CMS and gave the website a light refresh to complement the new brand. As part of the full rebrand, we have now developed a new WordPress website with a main group site and three subdivisions to attract candidates in IT, media and engineering. The website needed to integrate with Broadbean technology to manage job postings and via the WordPress plugin visitors can now search jobs under each division and apply.
The content for the sites has quadrupled, but they all run under WordPress multisite so can easily be managed internally from one area. Each division is responsible for its own content, which is brought into the group site – this is very good for SEO and link building.
Job search data shows nearly 50%* of all job seekers were looking for and applying for jobs on a mobile device during June 2014. Job seekers expect the same functionality on a mobile as on a desktop, yet many recruitment companies aren’t optimising for mobile use. With so many people applying for jobs on mobile, the new Premier Group website is optimised to be quick and efficient on mobile, with a great user experience.
Premier Group’s clients and candidates gave them great feedback about the new brand, and the Group loved it.
“We’re really proud of our new branding, which pulls our offering together but still retains individualism for our areas of operations. Our marketing materials look much more professional and together, and we’re looking forward to our new website going live.”
